The small cemetery is to the side of the church next to the Community Hall.

I would like to thank Ruth Barber of the excellent Derbyshire Family History Society and Graeme Siddall, Archive and Heritage Assistant, at the Sheffield Archives for their assistance.

The Nottingham Road Cemetery is vast and I would like to thank Tracey Woodward, the Derby Bereavement Officer, for providing plans which pinpointed the location of the grave.

The two members of the Mort family are buried here in York Cemetery but without any headstone or memorial.
