Both Leslie Munn and John (Jack) Chambers were from the Derby area and were lodging in York.

The article explains that Leslie Munn was employed as an outside representative by Rolls-Royce and he had served an apprenticeship with the LMS Locomotive Works.

The two members of the Mort family are buried here in York Cemetery but without any headstone or memorial.
