Albert Emmerson......aged 29......ARP Warden.

John Herber Fowler......aged 34......ARP Warden

Albert Emmerson lived in No:2 Winchester Avenue (just round the corner from Chatsworth Terrace) and he and John Fowler were in an Anderson Shelter in the back garden.
Before the raid ended they left the safety of the shelter and were killed by the blast of bombs that dropped in Chatsworth Terrace.
Mr Brassey, a fellow ARP warden, was with Albert & John.
They were standing in a line with Mr Brassey in the middle.
He survived the blast with just cuts.
