Charles Halliday died in May 1943 at Pinderfields Hospital of the spinal injuries he received.
Edna Halliday died in July 1949 at Stoke Mandeville of the spinal injuries she suffered during the air-raid.
(The headline in the Bucks Herald of the 22nd July 1949 announced she “Died from enemy air raid of 1942")

The grave of Charles and Edna Halliday in the York Cemetery.
Although Mr Mrs Halliday died some months/years after the raid, it is generally accepted that their deaths were due, in no small part, to the spinal injuries they received in the April 1942 air raid.
