Gordon Oakley......aged 37.

John Stanley Wilkinson......aged 35.

Gordon was from Lumley Road in York. His sister, Majorie Copping lived next door at No:8 Fairway.



Four plots in Fulford Cemetery (numbered 25, 55,85 and 115) were allocated to four victims of the air raid.
Gordon Oakley was buried in Plot 55.........second from the front of the picture.
His sister,
Majorie Copping, is buried in the front plot.

John Stanley Wilkinson was from Banks End, Netherton (a few miles south of Huddersfield) and a death notice in the Huddersfield Daily Examiner (4/5/1942) states he was buried in the Holy Trinity Church, South Crosland on the 5th May 1942.
