The name the American soldiers gave to the divided village of Mödlareuth.

The Tannenbach (indicated) runs through the middle of the village.

The stream became a Zonal border (Soviet - US) and then the State border bwtween East-West Germany.

The border developed until its final form.

The access to the former border defences is being updated and, in 2022, the village was very much a building site.

There is an excellent Border Museum in the village.
