A few kilometres to the west of Blankenstein you cross the border where the former patrol road offers a very attractive walking trail.....it's hard to imagine its former use.

We just happened to spot this location but parking is easy.

The trail continues for several kilometres in either direction......time constraints limited the amount of exploring!
